The plumbing in a remodel is the part nobody sees and everybody depends on. Fixtures get chosen for looks, but whether they work and whether they pass inspection comes down to supply sizing, drain slope and venting that was set weeks before the tile went up.

Moving a Sink, Toilet or Shower

Relocating a fixture is usually possible, and the deciding factor is almost always the drain and vent, not the water supply. Drains need fall, and vents need a path. On a slab home that can mean cutting concrete; on a raised foundation it is generally much simpler.

We check the existing layout before quoting so you find out what a relocation actually involves at the design stage rather than midway through demolition.

Working With Your Contractor and the Inspector

Remodel plumbing happens in two visits that bracket everyone else's work: rough-in before drywall, and final connections after the finishes are in. Missing either window costs the whole project time, so we schedule to your contractor's timeline and hold to it.

Rough-in gets inspected. We install to current California code, pull what needs pulling, and meet the inspector so your project keeps moving.

Upgrades Worth Considering During a Remodel

A remodel is the one time the walls are already open, which makes it the cheapest moment to replace aging galvanized branches, add a shutoff where there never was one, upsize a drain, or run the gas line for a future range. Efficient fixtures and a properly sized water heater also fit naturally into this stage.
