Toilet Installation in Escalon, Modesto & the 209 & 350

Setting a toilet looks simple and goes wrong in quiet ways. A flange sitting below finished floor height, a bolt overtightened into porcelain, a wax ring that never fully seated: none of those announce themselves on day one. They show up months later as a rocking fixture, a stained ceiling below, or a soft spot in the subfloor.

We install standard, comfort height, dual flush, one-piece, wall-hung, bidet-ready and smart toilets, and we haul the old unit away. CA Lic. #953726, 37+ years in the trade.

What a Complete Installation Includes

A proper install replaces the parts that fail, not just the fixture.

  • Flange inspection and repair: the most common hidden problem, and the one that causes rocking and leaks.
  • New wax ring or seal: never reused, because a compressed ring will not seal a second time.
  • New closet bolts: corroded bolts are why old toilets cannot be tightened properly.
  • New supply line and angle stop: the two parts most likely to fail years after the toilet itself is fine.
  • Level setting and shimming: so the fixture does not rock and break the wax seal.
  • Leak test and haul-away: we verify a dry base under load and take the old unit with us.

Choosing the Right Toilet

Rough-in dimension comes first, and it is the measurement most people miss: the distance from the wall to the center of the drain, typically 12 inches but sometimes 10 or 14. Buy the wrong rough-in and the toilet will not fit the space.

After that it is preference. Comfort height suits most adults and anyone with mobility considerations. Dual flush saves water on liquid waste. One-piece units are easier to clean. Elongated bowls are more comfortable; round bowls fit tight bathrooms. We will tell you which brands we get called back to repair, which is worth knowing before you buy.

Do You Need a New Toilet or a Repair?

If the fixture is under about ten years old with a sound tank and bowl, repair is usually the better spend: flapper, fill valve, wax ring and supply line are inexpensive parts.

Replace when there is a crack anywhere in the tank or bowl, when a very old low-efficiency unit clogs constantly, when scale in the trapway has permanently weakened the flush, or when a wobble traces back to a floor and flange problem that has already been repaired once.

Water Savings and Local Standards

California requires new toilets to use no more than 1.28 gallons per flush. If your bathroom still has an original 3.5 or 5 gallon fixture, a modern high-efficiency toilet clears the bowl better and uses a fraction of the water, which shows up on the bill rather than just in the room.

Most installations are finished in under two hours, including flange work. Call 209.838.1000. Serving Escalon, Modesto, Turlock, Riverbank, Oakdale, Ripon, Manteca, Lathrop and Salida.

Questions We Get

Toilet Installation FAQ

How long does it take?

Most installs are under two hours, including flange work.

Can you supply the toilet?

Yes, or we'll install one you already purchased.

Do I need to replace my toilet or can it be repaired?

Under about ten years old with no cracks, repair usually wins. Cracked porcelain, constant clogging in a very old unit, or a repeat flange failure point to replacement.

What are the benefits of a new toilet?

Far less water per flush, a stronger and quieter flush, easier cleaning, and no more chasing repairs on worn internals.

Can I install a toilet myself?

You can, and flange height, bolt torque and wax ring seating are exactly where DIY installs fail. Those failures leak into the subfloor before you see them.

How do I choose the right toilet for my bathroom?

Start with the rough-in measurement from the wall to the drain center, then decide on height, bowl shape and flush type. We will confirm the fit before you buy.

Do you haul away the old toilet?

Yes, removal and disposal are part of the installation.

Can you install a bidet-ready or smart toilet?

Yes. Those need a supply connection for the bidet function and, for smart units, a nearby GFCI outlet, which we will confirm before install day.
