Tankless is a genuinely better way to make hot water, and it is also the install that gets botched most often. Undersize the unit or starve it of gas and the homeowner ends up with cold sandwiches and a warranty argument.

We do the load math first: fixture count, simultaneous demand, incoming water temperature, gas capacity, venting path and electrical. Then we install it to manufacturer spec so the warranty holds and the unit performs the way the brochure promised.

Gas Line, Venting & Electrical Requirements

A tankless unit fires far more BTU than the tank it replaces, so the existing half-inch gas line frequently will not carry it. We verify the meter and line capacity and upsize where the calculation requires it.

Venting is category-specific stainless or PVC depending on the model, and condensing units need a condensate path. There is also a dedicated electrical requirement even on gas models. We handle all three, pull the permit, and get it inspected.

How Our Hard Water Affects Tankless Sizing & Care

Incoming water temperature in the Valley drops in winter, which lowers the flow a unit can heat to your target temperature. Sizing off summer numbers is how homeowners end up disappointed in January, so we size for the cold months.

Hard water also means scale, and scale is the one thing tankless will not forgive. Annual descaling is required maintenance, not an upsell, and it is what keeps both the performance and the manufacturer warranty intact.
